Micah Adams is a collector of objects as much as he is a maker. He alters and reassembles everyday objects, uncovering uncanny relationships from the world around us. More and more, the goods we use every day are made to be disposable; coins may be the oldest objects we handle on a day to day basis. They provide an entry point to reflect on our history and culture. Using coins as travel souvenirs is a common relatable example. Micah creates fine scale collages to playfully examine and rearrange symbols of national identity and perceptions of value.
