About the artist
Lizz Aston is a textile artist, human-centered designer, mineral forager and pigment worker based in Toronto. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Crafts & Design from Sheridan College and recently completed her Bachelor of Design in Industrial Design at OCAD University. She is an alumna of the Craft & Design Studio at Harbourfront Centre (Textiles, 2009-2012). Aston is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including the RBC Emerging Artist Studio Set-up Award from Craft Ontario. She has been commissioned for public artworks for Holt Renfrew and Lululemon and has worked on sponsored projects with H&M Canada, the City of Toronto, 3M and the Japanese Paper Place. Her work is represented in public and private collections and has been exhibited across Canada, the US, Australia and South Korea.
